My name is Aman Kaiyum, and I’m currently majoring in Computer Engineering at the City College of New York. I am also interested in photography and design and am proficient in Adobe Lightroom as well as Intermediate in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. I am currently a Teaching Assistant at Kumon Inc.

In this course, I have learned about the importance of rhetorical situation in a piece of writing and how to analyze a text regarding characteristics such as exigence, audience, and genre. This course has also given me exposure to research essays and how to properly gather research and formulate a paper on a topic. There was room for creativity due to our freedom to choose our own topic, which allowed me to enjoy the assignments more than I would have if topics were assigned. We also had freedom in choosing our genres for our third assignment, which allowed me to get creative and make a whole new website regarding my topic: social media.
